Competition Regulations

  • By registering the participants comply with the terms and conditions and competition regulations and commit themselves to adhere to them strictly.
  • Race timing is done by using a data chip which is delivered with the race number. Data chips are supposed to be returned in the destination area in Biel (Night Half Marathon and Night Nordic Walking Half Marathon in Aarberg, Night Marathon in Oberramsern) or sent back in a padded envelope. Data chips can not be transferred to third party persons. For data chips which not have been returned, a replacement fee of CHF 50.- / € 36.- will be absorbed. The distribution of the t-shirt and certificate will be made only at the ice stadium in Biel (apart from the Night Half Marathon, Night Nordic Walking Half Marathon and Night Marathon). The medal is given out when the data chip is returned in the respective target area. The organizer can refuse to give out the medal if the data chip has not been returned.
  • The Run is to be absolved on the route marked out by the organizer. The use of non-approved means (like bikes, cars etc.) is strictly forbidden. Solitary exception are accompanying cyclists with a licence for the Runnings Days of Biel. Accompaniment is only possible from Lyss without «Emmendamm». Accompaniment on foot is not allowed. Instructions of the organizer and of the helpers are to be followed. Non-observance leads to disqualification from the race. The organizer can deny registration in the following years. Starting can be refused for runners who attracted attention because of unsportsmanlike behaviour towards other runners. The disqualification can be effected on the route, in the finishing area or subsequently, when offences have been assessed.
